BMW S 1000 XR (2026) — from $17,345
S 1000 XR is BMW’s adventure-sport rocket — S 1000 RR-derived thrust in an upright package.
Fast. Electronics-dense. More sport than soft-roader. Seat height and pace demand respect.
Phoenix freeways and mountain roads are its playground; soft sand is not.
From a Phoenix garage point of view, that matters: summer heat, monsoon oil slicks, and freeway miles on the 10/17 stack reward honest ergonomics and modern rider aids more than brochure poetry.
Who it’s for: riders wanting ADV looks with superbike pace
Who should look elsewhere: gentle tourers or low Softail buyers
Bottom line: upright BMW with serious horsepower addiction
S 1000 XR as a daily — brave enough?
