BMW R 1300 RT (2026) — from $22,895
R 1300 RT brings the new-generation boxer into BMW’s sport-tour RT mission — upright miles, wind protection, modern electronics.
Boxer character versus the K’s six. Often a sweeter price/power touring compromise.
Excellent all-day Arizona freeway tool with canyon credibility.
From a Phoenix garage point of view, that matters: summer heat, monsoon oil slicks, and freeway miles on the 10/17 stack reward honest ergonomics and modern rider aids more than brochure poetry.
Who it’s for: boxers who want serious touring ergonomics
Who should look elsewhere: six-cylinder or Harley sound seekers
Bottom line: modern boxer RT for serious street touring
R 1300 RT over a K 1600?
